The Holberg Prize is offering scholarships for five PhD candidates from the Nordic countries to participate in a Masterclass with Professor Paul Gilroy on the topic "Multiculturalism or Melancholia". The event takes place in Bergen on Monday, 3 June. The deadline for applications is 1 May.

The Holberg Prize is awarded to British cultural historian Paul Gilroy for his contributions to critical race studies, post-colonialism and related fields. The Nils Klim Prize is awarded to Icelandic philosopher Finnur Dellsén for his research in epistemology and the philosophy of science.
